Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, who was born on October 2nd, 1869. A man with a normal childhood in the western part of India, Gujarat became a global leader and influencer through his actions of leading a successful campaign for India’s independence against the British Rule, he came to be considered the father of his country, India.

Mohandas was one of four children to Karamchand Gandhi and Putlibai Gandhi a strong religious follower, who had influenced Mohandas as a person. As well as his siblings, Mohandas got married at the age of 14 to Kasturba Kapadia and together had 4 children. Gandhi had studied law in England for years then left for South Africa. Leaving to South Africa had been his first steps of becoming a man many looked up to.
